Got bored of SiteXero.net’s old design, so I changed it a bit.

I decided to do something similar to what Google does now: how most of the page text doesn’t appear until you move your mouse over the page. I made it so first, the image appears to fade in (the image doesn’t actually fade in – it used to, but I bind the animation to the load event of the image, and Opera won’t even download the image if it’s hidden; instead, an overlay div fades out). Then, it binds to the image so that the content fades in on mouseover.

I changed the links section a bit, which is what I really wanted to do so I could fit more in. I added the palette section and the two validate links just for fun, to help occupy space.

Anyways, I think it’s pretty cool. I find it odd that the old design worked fine in IE5, but this new one throws 2 errors on page load. Also, IE6 doesn’t seem to handle the float:left; properly on the LIs for the bottom left content. Maybe I’ll get around to fixing these problems, just because I like knowing it works that far back.
